Introduction

Emotions DanceSport was created by Simeon Stoynov & Kora Uczekaj. They are the 9-Time Reigning Pacific Northwest Regional Champions, were Youth National Champions in 2002, and are two of the most sought after teachers in the Northwest.

Simeon is originally from Bulgaria, and Kora is from the Seattle area. They have been dance partners since 1999 and proudly represent the United States at some of the most prestigious dance competitions in the world, such as Blackpool Dance Festival, UK DanceSport Championships, and the International DanceSport Championships. They get their training from the best teachers in the world, and so their information is up-to-date and of the highest standard in the region.

They have been competing together for 8 years and have a combined teaching experience of 25 years. They have taught the Nation's top youth, given wedding couples the skills to perform works of art, and have waltzed couples into the world of dancing.

Ballroom, Latin, and social dance lessons are taught at the Impulse Ballroom for clients living in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and Renton areas. They also teach in Los Angeles at the Club One Studio and San Jose and San Francisco at the Starlite Dance Club.

International Championships 2008 Fundraiser Dance Show - "A Success"

 We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who came to our Fundraiser in November. Even though we were below our last fundraiser total we raised $4061.70 from admission, donations, and merchandise. Our total cost of the International Championships trip is $7141.00 so more than half will be extremely helpful. To see a full breakdown of our trip expenses please click here. Online Dance Instruction

We have debuted our new Online Dance Instruction. It is only the beginning but check it out. Our goal is to have as much information on steps, technique, styles, as possible for everyone to learn from the comfort of their home.

Class Choreography

We have been updating all of the dance choreography's. Take a look at them so you can get more acquainted with what we are doing in class. Some of the dances such as Paso Doble and Jive have detailed descriptions about each step so you can practice at home. It is also great if you have some questions. They are the exact routines (well, minus a few on the spot embellishments every once in a while).

UK Championships 2009 Blog

Follow us along at UK Championships 2009. We will be in London for training with some of the best coaches in the world from January 15th through the 19th. Then we will travel to Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England, for the second largest competition in the World, The UK Championships. It will be held from January 20th through January 22nd, we will be dancing both styles and on all three days. On the 23rd we return back to London for more training until the 29th of January. In addition to this trip we have also planned to go directly to San Jose for the City Lights Ball on January 31st and February 1st, so this time we don't even go home.

Dance Instruction

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are the quickest way to learn to Ballroom Dance. They are more expensive than group classes, but offer a more flexibility in terms of schedule, focus and dance style. Whether you are preparing for the social dance floor, wedding, dance competition, performance or special event, private lessons will help you achieve your goals faster with one-on-one dance instruction. Group Classes:

Group Classes are inexpensive (more so for individuals) and are a good way to try out a variety of dances and meet new friends. We have a variety of classes for all levels and no partners are necessary. However, if you find that you are unable to keep up with the group, miss some lessons, or are having difficulty with a particular figure, it may be advisable to purchase a few private lessons and use them to catch up with your classmates.
